Because I Said I Would

because I said I would

My life is changing and I feel it. I don’t know if it’s in the air, water, or my mind but I feel a major transformation coming. But I believe that it stems from my promises to myself from last year. My commitment to myself has been very strong this year. I really has stood up for my ideas. But I think the key to this success was preparing my Because I Said I Would cards in the beginning of the New Year. I totally believe that you determine your own destiny by your words. So let me introduce you to a non-profit organization called: Because I Said I Would.

Because I Said I Would is a social movement and nonprofit dedicated to bettering humanity through promises made and kept. To encourage positive change and acts of kindness, they send importance of their word, for promises both big and small. It might just seem like a piece of paper, but promise cards have motivated people to stick with their commitments to better themselves and humanity. I have used these card with my family and friends for the past three years to prepare us for the New Year. In the last week of the year, I send Because I Said I Would promise cards to my friends with a special card to tell them thank you for being part of my life. I ask them to fill out the card and then post it somewhere they can see the commitment each day. Bathroom or bedroom mirrors, work office boards or visors in cars really work.  Anywhere you can see it and stay committed to your word is the goal. This also helps me build my vision board in the beginning of the year.

The future is not an inheritance, it is an opportunity and an obligation. Plan yours strategically and purposefully. Prepare for the New Year….It can only enhance your life.

Peace in the New Year……
