Sometimes life takes over and you have no time for the things you enjoy. Well that is why you haven’t seen this blog in a while. But I have great news. About three weeks ago I hit the two hundred pound lost mark. I told a few people but I really didn’t celebrate it like I did when I lost the first 100. The first 100 pounds my family went bowling and had a great time together. But this time around, I bought a new pair of jeans in a size I have never worn as an adult. HA!
Thank you to my family and friends who have been on this trek with me. Some you are tired of eating protein snacks with me, some are always looking for a good sale on tennis shoes, some of you just listened to me complain. However you participated know that your involvement means the world to me.
So how many more pounds you ask? About 40 pounds more and I think will try maintenance instead of active weigh loss.
My goals for the next 40 pounds:
• Loving myself through the process
• Preparing myself for the comments (people can be cruel when they think they are being supportive)
• Seeing myself as the “real Yvette” not the person that I used to be. I know that sounds crazy but I find this very difficult.
I hope you stick around for the next 40 pounds.
My quote for this week: I might not be there yet, but I am closer than yesterday.
